One of the best food bargains around is wild caught Alaskan salmon from a can. It's top quality, cold water, open ocean fish with marvelous flavor. It's also an excellent source of heart-healthy omega 3 fatty acids.
Serves 8
Ingredients
2 dozen slices of Boiled Ham
1 - 14.75 oz.Can of Alaskan Pink Salmon Wild Caught
3 - 4 Tbls Mayonnaise
1/4 Cup minced Celery
Hot Paprika or Cayenne Pepper, to taste
Salt and White Pepper, to taste
Feel free to , so you can easily return whenever you want to make this.
In a bowl mix Salmom with Mayonnaise and Celery. Salt and Pepper to taste.
Put about 1 to 2 Tsp of the Salmon Salad mixture across one end of each Ham Slice and roll them up.
Shopping Bargain:every May and June at the end of the spring salmon run supermarkets offer 14.75 oz. cans of brand name wild caught Alaska pink salmon for under $3 -- the fancy red salmon costs a bit more but is still a great buy. I keep a few cans of each in the refrigerator ready to go all year round.
