TEA WATER JARAnother slab form. Roll a slab around a cardboard tube to form a cylinder. Sprig the edges together to seal the cylinder then stand it up right on another slab and cut out a hole using the outside of the cylinder as a guide. Use the clay disk removed from the hole to seal the bottom of the cylinder. Insert the open end of the cylinder into the hole. Turn the whole thing upside down and hang another slab off the front. Paint it with clear glaze, all except the cylinder. Fire it in a raku kiln, toss it in sawdust, cover it, plunge it in cold water, and Voila! Status: in the collection of Earl Wettstein.
