montefin's Blue Streak Bottle
Pottery has taught me a lot. In this case, Restraint. Not a quality
I have always been famous for.
Hump molded over a wad of newspaper, with the bottom thumped and the
sides pinched together, this piece essentially had nothing going for it except the rough, gritty structural integrity of Soldate clay. Knowing the Soldate would fire a warm orangey-brown in a reducing atmosphere I simply incised an
thin vertical line down one side and a horizontal one across across the other. I filled the incised lines with cobalt oxide for the glaze firing, and what you see is what I got.
Status: CoyOne covets this pot so I ain't talking.
