montefin's Curling Stone Jug
This is an entirely slab built jug. The bottom was hump molded over a round form.
An upper slab was sprigged on top, pinched almost closed, then affixed with
a slab-formed spout and strap handle. The surface was brushed all over with dilute Barnhard's Clay for a fiery, finish.
It got its name from its resemblance to a Scottish Curling Stone.
Status: in the collection of the potter's former spouse.
